A year, golllly...

So, this one is pretty pointless..but since I don't have anything worthwhile to post on my "inspirational" blog, nor on my informing blog, I figured that (since no one actually reads this), I would post something interesting on it. Actually, I didn't decide that...I am just super time, procrastinating from going to bed because it just doesn't seem right to me that during the summer of my 19th year, I am going to bed consistently at 10pm, when the sun isn't even down (which, btw, Canadian summers I love for that reason...and pretty much only that reason. Isn't summer supposed to mean hot? They must have missed the memo...)

So, just to have an actual spotlight: I love my mum. I really do. I want to be just like her...except maybe not shrink 4 inches, that would be rather inconvenient right now. But the way I'm slouching while riding my bike daily, it might just happen. As long as I get some of her qualities, I think I shall forever count myself blessed. Well, I do right now just because she is my mother. Mo, if you ever read this, I love you. Thanks for being...well...you, the best Godly mother that a fairly lousy daughter could ask for ;)

The Trust Monger

Ohhhhhhh dear Cason, you're getting the fame I know you want ;)

I'm not sure if anyone reads this blog, but if you do, I figured Cason Anderson deserves a spotlight moment. Yes, I did "force" him to get a blog (DO check it out http://casonthetruthmonger.blogspot.com) but I think the product has only been good. Ok, I don't think it. I know it.

So keep on writing Cason :) Oh look "Spotlight....SMILE!"

Kara H

This is a little late for your birthday Kara, but you always deserve some encouragement. Your smile brightens the day of every person that you come in contact with. Whether it be in person or via webcam. Your laugh is contagious and you are constantly encouraging and optimistic. I can't wait for the day when I meet you in person. You are a blessing to all of your friends and I can only imagine the love Christ feels for you when He looks down and sees all of the amazing work you are doing. We love you Miss Seventeen :)

Brian - Caring

Brain is a man of God who will give up and let others do or think things their way. He avoids confrontation in a way that brings admiration from all sides. Even though he is a leader, he is willing to step down if it helps others (for those of us that don't submit as well ;P). He is amazing with kids and always lends a hand, ear, leg or some other random body part to any need.

Beth - Something More than an Extrovert

How can I describe it? Extrovert really doesn't suffice. Beth is a "people-person," but even that isn't enough. She has such an amazing capacity for making friends, loving them and caring so deeply that I am humbled to be one. Beth has a love for people that is both literally and metaphorically unfathomable. It goes on forever and I can't understand how she does it. But all I really need to know, and admire, is that her selfless love understands the pain of others and is a soothing balm capable of healing.

Beth - Creative

Beth has a zeal for creating beautiful works of art. Be they the actual literal "art" or simply an effort displayed aesthetically she never stops beautifying the world around her. Beth won't stop with tangible articles; she proceeds on to her friends' characters and beautifies them. Her influence has been a refreshing breeze that has calmed the storm of so many troubled characters. Her creativity is constantly seen in her love and dedication to her friends.

Beth - A Leader

Taking command can be hard, especially when facing opposition. But Beth has never let any qualms about facing conflict defeat her natural ability to lead. She has sacrificed her time in order to improve the lives of many people; even in the most minute of ways. I can only begin to appreciate how much of her life she has given to organize, lead and run many different gatherings. Her love and servitude have gone far in helping her to lead effectively; something I know she will only ever improve on.
